Air Grease Lubricator is an air operated grease gun that dispenses grease through a hose or tube. The grease gun is connected to a source of compressed air, which forces the grease from the reservoir into the hose or tube. A fitting is attached to the end of the hose or tube and then slipped over the moving part you want to lubricate. As the part moves it draws in air and grease through this fitting, ensuring that it’s properly lubricated at all times.
Air Grease Lubricator works best with lighter greases like lithium complex grease or lithium complex grease with added antiwear additives (AW). These types of greases have good water resistance and they don’t tend to cake up as easily as other types of oils or greases. They also don’t contain mineral oils that can damage plastics over time if left unchecked by periodic cleaning with a degreaser like Evaporust (Evapo-Rust) or kerosene. The Air Grease Lubricator is designed to apply light to medium viscosity greases to moving parts. The unit may be used in the field, or as a replacement for traditional grease guns. It features a direct drive high-pressure air motor, and a controllable output valve that allows for short bursts or continuous flow of grease.
